Ghostbuster Travis Lawson is the one to call when your organization is in crisis mode. As an account executive, he focuses on crisis communications and public affairs. He’s also developed and executed communications plans, provided support for branding and marketing campaigns and developed influential messaging strategies.
A FEMA-certified crisis communications expert, Travis helps clients keep their ear to the ground and head above water when facing critical events. In fact, he has done everything from monitoring traditional and social media to training company spokespersons to communicate effectively during a crisis.
Working with Pierpont’s Public Affairs practice team, Travis lobbies elected officials and shepherds community engagement campaigns for clients, including Uber, Walmart, Greater Houston Restaurant Association, Hotel and Lodging Association of Greater Houston and Houston Theater District. His public affairs experience also includes large multi-state infrastructure projects, which required educating stakeholders and elected officials across proposed pipeline routes to expedite the permitting process and manage community relations during construction.
Travis’ client portfolio includes BP, Technip, Sunoco Logistics, Wood Group and Magellan Midstream Partners. He also has experience with Fortune 500 clients in the legal, retail, technology and manufacturing industries.
As one of the few Aggies at Pierpont, Travis will proudly tell you that he graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and still attends every Aggie football home game. Thanks and Gig Em.
