Chris Ferris, Ph.D., drives value for his clients by developing strategies that support their overall business goals. He brings more than 25 years of experience in digital marketing and strategy to his clients in the technology, healthcare and energy spaces. His strengths lie in helping organizations embrace new digital technologies to meet evolving customer expectations, including online advertising, SEO, website design, social media and analytics. Chris also has experience managing public relations for healthcare organizations. More recently, he has spearheaded Pierpont's exploration of how to safely leverage AI technologies to improve the services we provide to our clients.

Prior to joining the Pierpont team, Ferris worked as the Vice President of Marketing at BubbleUp, the Chief Marketing Officer at 2nd.MD, and the Director of Digital Marketing and Communications at Texas Children’s Hospital.
When he’s not at work, Ferris spends his time as a lecturer at the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University (Rice Business), where he teaches a self-designed digital marketing course for MBA students. He also serves as a member of the Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute Advisory Network and a member of American Marketing Association Houston.
Ferris earned advanced degrees in Communication (M.A.) at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania and Health Policy (Ph.D.) at the University of Texas Health Center in Houston.
