Stewardship within the communities where we live, work and play is the heart of who we are. And we don’t just write checks: we are actively engaged as volunteers and leaders. It’s a commitment that started years ago with our founder and CEO and extends throughout our teams in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. Although Pierponters serve across a wide variety of organizations, we focus our efforts in three key areas.

Education & Mentorship: We believe in empowering tomorrow’s leaders—by supporting students today. That’s why we actively support mentorship and leadership programs, including Boys and Girls Clubs. Pierpont internships are highly sought after. It’s not uncommon for an intern to become a permanent employee. We also have several staff members who are adjunct professors teaching communications, public relations and public affairs classes at Rice University, The University of Texas in Austin and The University of Houston.

We are dedicated to investing in education and continue to do so through our partnership with Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. For the past five years, we have worked with these high school students in Houston to encourage community involvement and further their careers post-graduation by providing them with valuable work experience.

Community Wellness: In addition to our pro bono work for organizations like the San Jose Clinic, many Pierponters volunteer and serve in leadership roles for organizations that improve our communities, including the Salvation Army and American Red Cross. In fact, the majority of our staff is FEMA trained and actively support our clients and our community when needed.

Industry Excellence: Over the years, Pierponters have also provided deep contributions to the communications profession, serving on boards, providing thought leadership and supporting conferences for International Association of Business Communicators, Public Relations Society of America, American Marketing Association, Croft Society and others. We actively support the Greater Houston Partnership, and various industry professional organizations such as the Society for Professional Engineers. It helps us stay sharp and ahead of trend to help us anticipate client needs.
