Looking to establish broader visibility among target audiences, Opportune engaged Pierpont to support its marketing and public relations efforts.
Elevating Opportune’s thought leadership content the firm’s practice leaders were generating to 1) ensure its existing and potential clients know the full breadth of its offerings; 2) organically grow the existing business across different practice areas; and 3) drive and nurture new business leads.
Pierpont developed a “Did You Know” campaign focused on strategic media relations, original thought leadership, social media deployment and digital advertising. Leveraging relationships with media in Houston and nationally in the energy market positioned Opportune as the go-to source for insight on the challenges and opportunities facing organizations at specific points on the energy value chain. To round out the campaign, Pierpont created and implemented a digital advertising campaign to spotlight Opportune’s multiple practice areas to strategic audiences who might otherwise be unaware of the offerings.
In just six months, Pierpont garnered over 87 million earned media impressions and the highest web traffic, week over week, in the company’s history. Widely unknown to media in Houston and the national energy space, Opportune gained a platform and a voice. CEO David Baggett was quoted in publications ranging from Oil & Gas Investor to the Financial Times. With the campaign and work being hugely successful, Pierpont has been asked to implement the campaign to support Opportune’s EMEA practice.
