Creating Meaningful and Memorable Connections

The holidays are a time to be shared with others, celebrating the season and creating lasting memories together.

This holiday season we especially cherish the new connections we have made over the past year and the relationships we have further grown with our family, friends, community, and partners. Here are a few ways we have enjoyed connecting with others in 2019.

Family

At Pierpont, we have built a culture centered around family, where we welcome new employees and interns throughout the year, and continuously foster the development of our long-time Pierponters. This year, we expanded our team across Texas, made strategic investments in key talent across the region, and were recognized for our outstanding culture and work environment.

We remain closely connected with one another across cities and regions, celebrating the successes of our teams and learning from our failures together. In January, we kicked off the new year with our annual retreat in Las Vegas, where we celebrated a record year for the agency in 2018 and set our goals for 2019.

“Making new connections with my Pierpont team has been the most rewarding part of 2019. Through the incredible work that we do on behalf of our clients, I have been able to establish meaningful connections with my colleagues that make me excited to come to work each day. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with clients that are doing innovative, impactful work and helping them achieve their communications and business goals.” – Allison Murray, Vice President, Pierpont Austin

Friends

Throughout the year, we take time to learn and grow with our friends across the industry, from investing in innovative research to sharing our expertise and insights. We discussed the challenges facing businesses with thought leaders at renowned educational institutions, including the University of Texas and the University of Houston, and connected with industry peers in numerous professional organizations, including the American Marketing Association, International Association of Business Communicators, Public Relations Society of America and The Entrepreneurship Institute.

“Connecting our friends and clients across locations is one of the most important things we can do in a relationship-driven business. This past year I’ve enjoyed making a connection with the Chemistry Council of New Jersey and sharing it with our many clients in the petrochemical industry. And we can’t forget ourselves: making connections and building teams throughout all our locations helps us make even more impact for our clients and have fun while doing it.” – Meghan Gross, Vice President, Pierpont Princeton

Community

Our employees are dedicated to serving their passions and helping others, whether that’s through serving in professional organizations and nonprofits, or teaching and mentoring the students who will become the future of our workforce. We have a collective desire to reach others in new and meaningful ways, which is evident by our connections with the communities in which we serve and the lasting legacy we have left behind.

“Making a difference in the communities we live, work and play in is at the heart of our culture and who our clients are. Over the past year I’ve had the pleasure of supporting clients, local and from afar, to make a difference in their respective communities. Whether we leveraged human capital to distribute school supplies to thousands of children, helped a community secure a long-awaited neighborhood center and park, or simply committed financial support towards a special cause, we know the meaning of giving back.” – David Gonzalez, Account Supervisor, Pierpont Houston

Partners

We build the relationships that help drive our clients’ businesses, from working alongside media and influencers to collaborating with elected officials and community organizations. It is these strategic connections that we have fostered over the years that have helped build the reputations and narratives of both our partners and our teams. Over the past year, we have advised on challenges that our partners face, like change management and cybersecurity crisis communications, and we have helped clients break through the noise at top-tier industry events.

“As marketers, I believe that one of the most important things we can do is facilitate relationships between brands and their customers. Helping build connections between people is one of the reasons why I was drawn to work in public relations and marketing. Throughout this year, I have been fortunate enough to work on great accounts with great colleagues and client contacts, first as an intern and then as a full-time employee. Whether it’s for clients and their customers or with our own colleagues, the connections we make ultimately lead to our success.” – Beth Rose, Assistant Account Executive, Pierpont Dallas
