As Chief Operating Officer, Clint Woods keeps Pierpont in shape. Over the past 16 years, he has amassed deep experience in strategic communications, crisis and issues management and integrated marketing. His work for clients has spanned from Wall Street and The White House to Fortune 500 firms in Houston’s energy corridor and Silicon Valley.
Clint leads Pierpont’s energy practice and advises clients throughout the energy value chain. He also has deep experience in industries including automotive, retailing, enterprise hardware and software, professional services, business intelligence and collaboration tools, financial services and manufacturing. Clint’s clients have included: Battelle, BP, Cameron, Group 1 Automotive, Halliburton, the Houston Rockets, Imperial Sugar, OTC Global Holdings, Service Corporation International, Sunoco Logistics, Technip, Wood Group and many more.
In addition, Clint has spearheaded media opportunities for clients in an impressive array of top-tier global media, including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Newsweek, BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Financial Times, The Today Show and others. His teams have won multiple awards from industry associations including AMA, IABC, PRSA and TPRA. In 2011, his team was awarded PRWeek’s National Non-Profit Campaign of the Year.
Away from the office, Clint is a Board Member for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, an organization that promotes entrepreneurialism, financial literacy and workforce preparedness for young people.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in business and communications from The University of Texas at Austin and the Rice Jones Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program.
