Savage to Oversee Pierpont’s Rapidly-Growing Dallas Office, Expand Firm’s Corporate Practice Area
HOUSTON – (April 14, 2015) – Pierpont Communications, one of the largest independent communications firms in Texas, announced today that James (Jim) Savage has been named senior vice president and general manager of the company’s Dallas office.

Prior to joining Pierpont, Jim led the corporate practice of Edelman in Dallas as SVP, where he contributed to the brand and reputation success of local, Texas-wide, national and global clients. Prior to joining Edelman, he was managing partner of Reputation Leadership Group (RLG), an international communications and reputation management consultancy. He has also held senior communications, brand marketing and public affairs positions with Philips Electronics, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and Verizon, in addition to other leadership roles in finance, technology and the public sector during a nearly 30-year career that includes eight years in Dallas.

Savage has a Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, Canada. He serves as a Commissioner with the Institute for Public Relations and has been a member of the Board of the Canadian PR Society (Toronto) and the Convergence Council of the S. I. Newhouse School of Communications (Syracuse University).
