Pierpont’s Sylvester Palacios was invited to judge Concordia University’s Fall 2015 Persuasion Contagion finals last week. Presenting a moving speech on Sexual Assault, Alexis Hutchins was chosen as the winner out of five contestants as she spoke about the prevalence of this issue in the United States including her own testimony. She provided compelling statistics and talked about how others can get involved in the prevention of Sexual Assault. “The topic was very impactful,” said Palacios in the University’s news release. “From beginning to end, she carried the audience with her emotion in addition to setting a strong foundation of facts and examples.” For more about the event, judges and contestants, click here.
