Clint Woods has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Houston, Texas – (September 3, 2013) – Pierpont Communications, one of the largest communications firms in the Southwest, announced today that 13-year veteran Clint Woods has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Woods amassed a wealth of experience during his tenure at Pierpont in industries including energy, automotive, retail, professional services and manufacturing. In addition to his role as COO, Woods serves as Senior Vice President (SVP) and leads the firm’s energy practice.

As COO, Woods will focus on firm operations, including the management of day-to-day functions, directing long-term, strategic growth and further development of Pierpont’s expertise in key practice areas. With his deep experience across the energy value chain, he will be able to accelerate and expand Pierpont’s work within the energy sector.

Woods’s legacy at Pierpont includes leading one of the firm’s first major growth initiatives, opening an Austin office in 2000. Since then, he has been involved in increasing the firm’s reach to cover all major Texas markets, assisting in office openings in Dallas (2007) and San Antonio (2008). Through this expansion, Woods has positioned the firm to provide increasingly comprehensive client services.

Woods is a graduate of the Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business Executive Program. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and communications from the University of Texas at Austin. Woods is a San Antonio native, but has lived in Houston for 13 years.
