Hailing from Shiner, Texas (known as the “Cleanest Little City in Texas,” and of course, the home of Shiner beer), Victoria Cook knows a thing or two about small-town pride. But don’t let her politeness and broad Texas smile fool you, she is a whip-smart public relations professional with nearly a decade of agency experience.
Victoria, or “Tory” as she’s often called, is a key player in helping clients with market entry and grand openings. From cutting the ribbon on healthcare clinics across Texas, launching a leading-edge technology retail store and putting Houston on the map for international luxury fashion–Tory knows how to develop integrated campaigns that make the best first impression.
She’s also a member of Pierpont’s crisis communications team and provides media training and strategic counsel to clients across consumer, real estate, retail, healthcare, financial, nonprofit and energy sectors. Over the years, Tory has worked alongside senior executives to drive communications campaigns for Verizon, BP, Reliant Energy, OliverMcMillan, Technip North America, GulfMark Offshore, ESPN’s Longhorn Network and H-E-B Central Market.
Tory earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with honors from The University of Texas at Austin and completed the Texas Business Foundations Program at the McComb’s School of Business. She enjoys rooting for the Texas Longhorns, searching for Houston’s best dog park (current favorite is Danny Jackson Family Bark Park) and returning home to Shiner for a “taste” of the small-town life. Prosit!
