Allison Murray

Allison is an experienced strategic communications professional who has guided organizations through media relations challenges, message development, public affairs campaigns and crises. Clients ranging from Fortune 10 companies to grassroots organizations have entrusted Allison with achieving their strategic communications goals.

Most recently, Allison was a vice president in the Dallas office of Edelman. There she led strategic communications for the commercial and innovation divisions of one of the region’s largest clients, Bridgestone. Allison also managed the brand narrative development for the largest flatbed and specialized transportation and logistics company in North America. In addition, Allison was the crisis communications lead for the Dallas office and supported numerous Edelman clients including KFC and Total Petrochemicals & Refining on issues support, crisis management and media training.

Prior to her time at Edelman, Allison was an inaugural member of the team at Kith, a crisis communications and reputation management firm based in Austin, Texas. In her role, Allison was responsible for agency operations and providing strategic counsel to clients including American Express, Cargill, Northwell Health and College Board. Additionally, Allison was a lead facilitator for countless crisis simulations, helping corporate teams large and small prepare for a wide range of crises and issues.

Before Kith, Allison spent seven years at FleishmanHillard in Austin and Washington D.C. offices. While at FleishmanHillard, Allison was the corporate communications lead for AT&T’s Entertainment Services division, overseeing communications related to AT&T’s suite of TV and high-speed internet services. Allison led strategic counsel and communications coordination during a high-profile moment in company history when AT&T announced and subsequently completed a $49 billion acquisition of DIRECTV, and was the lead during other critical moments including crises and contract expirations. Prior to her role on AT&T, Allison supported numerous clients in the Public Affairs and Food & Beverage divisions of FleishmanHillard.

In the Washington, D.C. office of FleishmanHillard, Allison was an integral member of the Public Affairs and Corporate Practice Groups. While in D.C., Allison managed award-winning stakeholder and media relations campaigns for a variety of clients including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, TRICARE, Embassy of Turkey, COMPETE Coalition, among others.

Allison graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. She currently resides in south Austin with her rescue dog, Leroy.
