Allison Burum

 

A committed integrated marketing communications professional with a passion for storytelling and building programs that support driving business growth, Allison Lowe Burum brings best practices from having worked on both the corporate and agency sides (as well as operating her own consulting firm) to her role as vice president.

Over the course of her career, Allison has established a strong record of achievement across diverse levels of management, stakeholders and industries, and has a proven ability to deliver results that strategically enhance reputation and drive stakeholder engagement. Prior to joining Pierpont, Allison proudly harnessed her entrepreneurial spirit and operated her own business counseling clients large and small across the country. Clients included the American Heart Association, Zyston, Teakwood Capital, Baron & Budd and Youngevity International, among others.

Allison previously worked at Edelman, leading the development of robust, forward-thinking communications programs for a wide variety of clients from hospital systems to health and wellness brands to non-profit organizations and leading technology companies. Clients included Forest Park Medical Center, Jenny Craig, Curves, Entrust Datacard, Samsung and Symantec. Before Edelman, Allison worked in the marketing communications departments at both LifeCare Health Partners and Haynes and Boone, LLP, where she led media relations efforts for the launch of the firm’s Social Media Practice, as well as ongoing branding, marketing and media relations strategy and support for the firm’s more than 35 practices. Allison started her career at HCK2 Partners, an integrated marketing communications firm, where she provided support for clients including Ambit Energy, Mannatech, AdvoCare, Mary Kay, Scott+Reid, TechAmerica and MedSynergies.

Allison graduated with honors from Texas Tech University and holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She resides in the northern Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas with her husband and two young sons. She’s highly involved in the local community and proudly serves on the boards of two prominent area nonprofits – The Miracle League of Frisco and the North Texas Turkey Trot.
