Recruiting Strong Candidates
Great Lakes Educational Loan Services, Inc., a guarantor and servicer of student loans, opened a new facility in Plano, Texas and had an immediate need to hire 150 customer service representatives and support personnel. The abundance of call centers in the area and competitiveness of the market made this much more difficult than expected. Thus, Great Lakes called on Pierpont to help find qualified candidates.
To support Great Lakes in finding talent, Pierpont executed an integrated marketing and public relations program spanning eight weeks. This program included direct mail, radio and print advertisements, special events, social media, media relations, job fairs and community involvement to recruit approximately 1,500 candidates. Ultimately, Great Lakes hired 150 qualified individuals from this strong pool of applicants.
Great Lakes was pleased with the hiring queue and volume of applicants. The client termed it “mission accomplished” and acknowledged that Pierpont had pushed the envelope and done everything possible to deliver success.
