At Pierpont, our interns are a valuable and integral part of who we are. That’s because an internship at Pierpont is an opportunity to learn, grow and develop first-hand. Our goal is to give interns a diversified experience where they walk away with a deeper understanding of how account teams work, as well as the tactical know-how to meaningfully contribute in areas like media relations, digital marketing, content development, public relations and public affairs.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for enthusiastic self-starters that learn quickly and take initiative to make a difference for our business and our clients. Our interns are often college students or recent graduates pursuing degrees in public relations, journalism, public affairs, marketing, digital/social media, graphic design, communications or related fields. Interns are expected to have the following capabilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of website and social media strategy and development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn, prioritize and multi-task in fast-paced, open office environment
  • Hardworking, goal-oriented and well organized
  • Excellent proofing and research skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinking
  • Willingness to learn complex concepts and topics

What You Can Expect

Our interns are an integral part of our team, and provide significant added value to real client projects. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of a comprehensive communication strategy for Pierpont and also support of client facing teams and projects. Activities include research, writing, internal initiatives and support for client work. Our internships are available for course credit and are estimated to last three months, working 20-29 hours per week.
