The Ides of March were a busy time for the Pierpont team! Over the course of just a few short days we had the honor of working with clients on two of the business world’s biggest of stages during SXSW in Austin and CERAWeek in Houston.
At CERAWeek, the annual gathering of senior energy executives, innovators and government officials, Pierpont led the announcement strategy for a partnership between our client Maana with Microsoft. We engaged media including the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Economist, Energy Intelligence, E&P, Platts, Bloomberg TV regarding the company’s efforts to accelerate the oil and gas industry’s digital transformation. To drive dialog with key influencers, we leveraged Maana’s CEO’s participation in one of the conference’s key executive panel sessions.
Meanwhile, as SXSW was taking over Austin we helped Energizing Health execute four days of programming around innovation in healthcare at their Health House, providing ongoing consulting services leading up to and during the event.
At the same time, we also engaged national and local media about Baker Botts’ first annual SXSW Emerging Company Showcase, which focused on AI and IoT investing and included panelists from Toyota Al Ventures, Samsung Catalyst Fund, Chevron Technology Ventures and Cisco Investments as well as current and former clients Maana and SparkCognition.
