Jessica Ferdinand is joining Houston-based Pierpont Communications as a vice president in the marketing department. Ferdinand has more than 20 years marketing experience and has helped Fortune 500 companies, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline, and Pfizer, launch new products, revitalize existing brands, and find innovative ways to reach national and international audiences.

Ferdinand’s account experience includes a diverse group of public and private sector clients such as: Bristol-Myers Squibb, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, Covenant Community Capital, eCardio, GlaxoSmithKline, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Hermann, Ortho McNeil, Pfizer, Roche, Sanofi-Synthelabo, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), and World Services Group. She also spent several years developing and implementing new services and products at McKesson Specialty Health (US Oncology) that focused on leveraging marketing and educational opportunities with community-based oncology practices nationwide.

Aside from marketing, Ferdinand is equally passionate about being involved in the Houston community and schools. She is an active volunteer at the elementary school level within the Houston Independent School District (HISD) and is a public speaking coach for the HISD UIL program.
Ferdinand earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Northeastern University in Boston. She has won numerous awards throughout her career including the Women’s Healthcare Business Association Rising Star Award in Mentoring and Business.
