Prior to working with Pierpont, Meghan founded Gem Strategic Communications, a strategic communication and presentation training consultancy. She brings more than two decades of reputation management experience, creating and implementing communications plans, leading change initiatives and mentoring teams.
Meghan has worked on major internal and external communications initiatives for companies in several industries including energy, industrial/manufacturing, legal/professional services, technology and not-for-profit. Recent clients have included: Otis Elevator, NRG Energy, Goulston & Storrs, Coalition of Northeastern Governors and National Grid.
In the last decade, Meghan worked for three of the largest, global PR agencies in New York City and Boston. In these roles Meghan supported clients from the C-suite to line employees assisting clients through corporate transformations and building better stakeholder relations.
In addition to her day job, Meghan served as an adjunct professor of communication at Boston College for seven years. She also maintains active leadership roles with the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Greater Princeton Chamber of Commerce (New Jersey), Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment (Washington, DC) and the Legal Marketing Association.
Meghan earned a bachelor’s in communication from Boston College and a master’s from The George Washington University. A passionate advocate for work-life management, health and fitness, Meghan enjoys speaking and blogging about professional development and interpersonal communications.
