Lara Zuehlke


An award-winning writer, Lara Zuehlke has wrangled those 26 letters of the alphabet for virtually every type of print and digital channel. She brings 20 years of experience in strategic planning, content development, integrated marketing and digital communications. As Director of Content, Lara leads Pierpont’s content practice, helping clients shape and share their unique brand stories.

Over the years, Lara has worked with a broad portfolio of clients—ranging from start-ups and nonprofits to private companies and Fortune 500 firms in education, healthcare, energy, private equity/financial, technology and consumer/retail, among others. Her client portfolio includes: Hewlett-Packard, Galveston Bay Foundation, L’Oréal, Brinker International, Seton Healthcare Family, Corner Bakery, Galveston Bay Foundation, Zpryme, Kepner-Tregoe, Fossil, Tyler Technologies and Academic Partnerships.

With a deep background in personal development (a true ENFJ), Lara has also spent more than 17 years developing and delivering training and presentations for numerous workshops, conferences and classes. Her areas of focus include: content strategy, brand storytelling, creative writing, unblocking creativity and leading creative teams.

A third-generation Aggie, Lara earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism from Texas A&M University. Over the years, Lara’s creative work has garnered more than a dozen awards and honors for writing, marketing/branding and magazine editorial. In 2015, she was named the Gene Barnwell Waugh Mentor of the Year by Women Communicators of Austin.

When she’s not dreaming at the whiteboard or checking punctuation for clients, Lara can be found working on her first novel, cycling, walking, cooking or attempting the latest DIY home project she’s discovered on Pinterest.
