Sally Ramsay

Sally Mathis Ramsay is a Senior Vice President at Pierpont, serving the firm’s public relations clients with more than 26 years of communication experience.  At Pierpont, Sally specializes in helping clients reach consumers in creative ways and communicate complex messages with clarity and purpose.  She has managed accounts including Capital One Bank, Imperial Sugar, The Texas Medical Center, Baylor College of Medicine’s Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, Money Management International and the ARAMARK / Reliant Park / Super Bowl.  In addition, she provided expert creative and counsel for the H-E-B Online account and co-led the Houston Rockets Toyota Center account.

Sally’s areas of expertise include financial and professional services, healthcare, non-profit and retail.  She is also an award-winning communicator, garnering numerous awards for client campaigns and being named Public Relations Professional of the Year by the Houston chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in 2006.

Before joining Pierpont, Sally worked for Reliant Energy, where her team was responsible for the development and implementation of the public relations campaign to promote a positive image of the South Texas Nuclear Project.  While at Reliant, Sally’s areas of responsibility included public relations, community relations, customer service and training for employees and sales teams.  In addition, she served as the company’s liaison to various regulatory bodies to resolve customer concerns.

Sally is a Past President of PRSA Houston and an active community and church volunteer.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Louisiana State University and is a former Houston Independent School District teacher.
