Nancy Sims
Specializing in reputation management, Nancy oversees the firm’s many public affairs services, including civic engagement, sponsorship management, executive positioning, government relations, market research and stakeholder communications. Pierpont’s public affairs clients include companies such as Capital One, Verizon Wireless, Group 1 Automotive and the Houston Museum District Association. Prior to joining Pierpont, Nancy owned Quantum Consultants and advised many of Texas’ leading political figures. She also owned Quantum Concepts, a market research firm focused on hard-to-access populations, and worked in the Texas Legislature and at Houston’s City Hall. Nancy has been recognized for her strategic public affairs work by the Houston chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, the American Association of Political Consultants and the American Marketing Association. In 2005, she received the Gordon Bethune Go Forward Award from the Houston Downtown Alliance for her commitment to the arts and helping to move downtown Houston forward. In addition to encouraging her clients’ community involvement, Nancy is a very engaged member of the Houston community herself. She donates her time to serve on the Board of Directors of Child Advocates, Inc., and volunteers for the Greater Houston Partnership, River Oaks Business Women’s Exchange Club, Da Camera, Leadership Houston, Center for Houston’s Future and the Texas Lyceum Alumni. Nancy also serves as an adjunct professor of political science at the University of Houston. Having completed her undergraduate work at Sam Houston State University, Nancy received a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of St. Thomas and has studied in the U.S. Congress, London and Ireland.
