1. Find a large, open area.
2. Consider the wind factor as it will affect the path of the boomerang.
3. Start with the proper grip.
Grasp the boomerang like you would a tennis racquet. Make sure the flat side of the boomerang faces the palm of your hand, then wrap your fingers around the shaped side. You can either position your thumb over your fingers (like a fist) or just above the index finger. To get a maximum spin, hold the boomerang as close to the end as possible.
4. Keep the angle of release slightly less than perpendicular to the horizon. Your aim is to throw the boomerang overhand.
5. Throw the boomerang horizontally.
6. Catch the boomerang. We suggest using your hands as opposed to your head or torso. Use both hands to clasp it as it comes towards you, like a frisbee.
1. Do not day dream about using the boomerang while in meetings.
2. Do not practice throwing the boomerang while indoors.
