Today, Pierpont Communications joined the Texas Star Alliance, an affiliation that allows the firm to deliver integrated services in communications, governmental relations, regulatory affairs and more to enhance the firm’s value in public affairs.

 

According to John R. Pitts, managing principal of the Texas Star Alliance, the type of integration the Alliance offers is crucial to public policy success in the 21^st Century, “In the past, it was enough to rely on direct lobbying and political involvement to enact legislative change, but today that’s not the case. Organizations must now win the hearts and minds of citizens as well as lawmakers.”

 

Pierpont has long believed that organizations benefit from participating in public policy initiatives and from engaging their stakeholders in their efforts. This alliance offers more opportunities to help clients do that successfully.

 

Pierpont’s Senior Vice President Nancy Sims and Vice President Stacy Armijo are spearheading the firm’s participation in the Alliance. Nancy brings 30 years of public affairs experience at many levels, particularly in the areas of arts & tourism, transportation, health care and economic development. Stacy has public affairs experience at the statewide level in real estate, insurance and law enforcement.
