Beware! There are a lot of blogs out there that don’t need to be read. Don’t believe me? Click
here. How can you make sure your company blog never makes the bad blog list?
Jon Gelberg has been working in the digital world since the late 1990s and has written several articles on blogging. My favorite is “
10 Posts You Should Write for Your Company Blog.” Although they’re all useful post ideas, the topics I think are most beneficial for a company blog are:
•
The “I know my readers and I’m going to give them interesting info” blog post – Give your readers information that is interesting and useful to them. One example - if your company gives martial arts lessons, keep your readers engaged with “5 Ways to Improve Your Stamina” or “The Best Way to Head-Butt Your Opponent.” Posts that are useful to your readers will keep them coming back for more.
•
The “favorite customer feedback” blog post – The next time you deal with a customer’s good or bad experience with your company, share it with your readers! Highlight the way you responded to your customer’s review and demonstrate that you care. The post can serve as a marketing tool and show your readers that your company has nothing to hide, gaining your readers’ trust.
•
The “featured employee” blog post – Employees are what makes a company successful, so share your employees’ talents with your readers. Every employee is unique and a post on their backgrounds and successes will always make an interesting read. These posts can also help market your employees as thought leaders in their specific area.
Overall, to have a good blog, you must be sharing the right information with the right audiences. What types of posts are most beneficial for your company? Share them with us below!
